Being an exchange student is hard, because we don’t even know what would we see there or meet there. It seems like a mission we need to complete by ourselves without others. We would meet new things, new language, and new culture. Who would expect that we’re going to be that far from home for a while and then go back. And, does it have anyone tell you before how fun it is ?
Firstly, I went to Humansville, MO, USA. I attended Humansville High school and finished my sophomore year here. I was a little bit nervous at the beginning of the year, but I was so glad because they were so friendly and kind. I lived in a small house in a small town but I felt so comfortable and warm with them. I did joined a school basketball team and “33” is was my number. We did win some and lose some it’s a game we know that. I didn’t scores that much but I still did some, I was so proud of myself. In the beginning of this year, I went to a Christian concert named “winter jam”, it was really interesting and fun actually.
Secondly, an education in The USA isn’t that hard but there were something interesting I haven’t learnt and knew here from Thailand, such as forensic science, agricultural, and applied science. I attended 3 classes of science but I did a great job though it. I helped decorating the hallway with my sophomore’s friends for a reward but we didn’t get it. It was a pretty great time and experience in the same moment.
Lastly, I am not going to say it was the best year ever, but I did choose a great decision for my life. It is a crazy short time period being there. It teaches me how the life works: not actually know all of it but at least some of it, how to live with others, and how to face problems by your own in a different way. It is hard sometimes. But honestly, you’d get to grow as a person and know yourself in a better way. However, you won’t regret it at all, if you choose this best decision like me.
